PAYMENT & CANCELLATION PROVISIONS
Pursuant to Sections 48 and 49 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA), Adiel Guesthouse enforces the following terms, irrevocably agreed upon by the guest at time of reservation.
§1. PAYMENT TERMS
Full prepayment is mandatory to secure all reservations made via Adiel Guesthouse’s online platform. Failure to remit 100% of the total booking value within 1 hour of reservation initiation voids the booking automatically. This non-negotiable prepayment obligation applies to all seasons, durations, and room categories.
§2. CANCELLATION SCHEDULE
Refund eligibility is contingent upon written notice (email ONLY) and room rebooking viability. Calculations apply to the total prepaid amount:
- ≥14 days prior to arrival:
60% refund issued; 40% retained as non-recoverable administrative levy (incl. transactional fees, logistical overhead). - 8–13 days prior to arrival:
25% refund issued; 75% retained. - 3–7 days prior to arrival:
10% refund issued; 90% retained. - <72 hours prior to arrival / No-Show:
Zero refund. Absolute forfeiture of all monies paid.
§3. MODIFICATION CLAUSES
Date alterations (strictly subject to availability) require ≥96 hours’ notice; subsequent rate differentials (if applicable) apply. Failure to reprovision occupancy voids refund entitlements.
§4. FORCE MAJEURE & EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES
Adiel Guesthouse disclaims liability for disruptions arising from acts of state, pandemics, utility failures, or natural disasters. No cash refunds apply. Discretionary rebooking credits (valid 6 months) may be issued pending submission of state-certified documentation within 48 hours of incident.
§5. NON-REFUNDABLE RATE CLASSIFICATIONS
Promotional/prepaid bookings (explicitly labeled “Non-Refundable – Strict”) are 100% forfeited upon cancellation, irrespective of notice period.
§6. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
All grievances must be lodged via registered post to the premises above. Unresolved matters shall be arbitrated per the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act 28 of 2002. Legal costs incurred by Adiel Guesthouse due to frivolous claims will be recuperated from the claimant.
ADDENDA
- Refunds processed within 21 business days (excludes bank delays).
- Travel insurance is strongly advised as a precondition of booking.
- Policy supersedes verbal agreements; electronic acceptance constitutes binding consent.
COMPLIANCE NOTICE
This policy is structured to align with CPA stipulations while safeguarding operational viability. Adiel Guesthouse recommends patrons independently verify terms with legal counsel prior to reservation. Policy void if contradicted by mandatory statutory provisions.
